Part of Erol Incedal's trial will be held in secret |
Erol Incedal also had an address for Tony and Cherie Blair in his car, Richard Whittam QC told the Old Bailey.
Mr Incedal, 26, was considering different attacks, including indiscriminate killings, he added.
Mr Incedal, who denies preparing for acts of terrorism, is being tried partly in secret.
The jury heard Mr Incedal had no settled plan of attack. But the prosecution suggested the possession of Mr Blair's address was significant.
Mr Whittam said: "Count 1 does not suggest that Erol Incedal had settled on a specific target or a particular methodology but in the context of the case as a whole and the evidence that I am going to come to, you may think that this address does have some significance."
Mr Incedal is also accused of possessing a secure digital memory (SD) card "useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism."
Jurors were told on Monday that parts of the trial would never become public.
